A Winter Solstice Gathering

Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year in our part of the world, before the Earth Mother begins Her slow journey toward the Sun’s light. It is a time of Mystery and Deep Silence. We invite you to come to pray for peace and healing and to honor the Holy darkness. It will be a very simple evening beginning with a call to Spirit, a short guided meditation, sitting in darkness, candle-light and song.

Where: Earth Spirit Council House (formerly Women’s Temple)
Collinsville, CT from 7-9 PM

Open to women and men, nursing infants, and children able to sit in silence for 20 minutes. Donations are welcome and will be given to Cultural Survival, an organization serving to protect indigenous lands, languages, and cultures.

If you have a backjack or comfortable pillow, bring it along just in case we need extra seating. Backjacks are provided for 20 people. Please arrive by 6:45 and take your seat in silence. Be sure to turn off all cell phones. If you plan to attend, please drop me a note just so I can have an idea of how many we will be.

For directions, contact Nora Jamieson by phone (860-693-9540) or email her using the contact button on the menu bar.
